post renovation project

hard Work, But Worth The Effort!

The Renovation Is A Long Term Process

The official renovation which started with a grant from Home Depot of Ranson began in May of 2016.  Since that time more work has been done to improve the Post Canteen.

A deck was built onto the rear of the building, then a concrete patio was poured.  This was followed by upgrading the kitchen lights and the addition of a gas grill for steaks and a new deep fryer and while this was going on the kitchen sink was replaced and all new hardware was added.

Then a new wooden surround for the bar was installed and new flooring in the bar.  Then Novation installed equipment for the training in the Post and Pavilion.  This was followed by the replacing of the ratty carpet in the training/meeting room with new wood flooring.

A new project is in the planning stages to remove the wall at the end of the bar in the entrance way and expanding the bar with space for up to six more seats.

There is also a project in the planning stages to expand the concrete patio and erect a mini-pavilion shelter.

Getting Ready to Renovate

Beginning on May 9th, 2016 employees and volunteers from Post 38 began preparing the building for renovation by removing:
